InnovationQuarter is the regional economic development agency for the Province of Zuid-Holland. Their mission is to strengthen the regional economic structure by stimulating the innovation potential of this unique delta region. In close collaboration with all major corporations and many SME’s, educational and research institutes as well as government organisations, they align the efforts required to design a brighter tomorrow.

Zuid-Holland has a very advantageous position, given the existing strengths in quantum technology of its knowledge centres and rapidly growing start-up scene. IQ’s vision on quantum technology is that more business leaders and government organizations have to be aware of the potential risks and benefits of quantum technology. IQ wants to strengthen the quantum ecosystem in Zuid-Holland and accelerate market introduction of quantum technology and products.

To make this happen, IQ:

• Wrote, in close collaboration with municipalities and Province, a quantum narrative and action plan based on the regional quantum research from Birch;
• Facilitates public private partnerships to effectively bring awareness to business leaders, help quantum start-ups to grow and help to identify quantum use cases within our network;
•  Exchanges information and best practices on activities that help bringing awareness.
